About Hemp Ed

Hemp Ed is an educational website that aims to inform individuals on what hemp is, what products it produces, its laws and regulations, as well as how hemp can affect their lives and the environment. For far too long, hemp has had a stigma due to its sister plant, marijuana. Education is the first step to breaking this stigma. Once this stigma is broken, we can gain more support not only for education but for hemp reform. I hope after looking through Hemp Ed's information, you feel better about what hemp is and the products that could be marketed to you.

About Me

My name is Takoda Stike and I am currently perusing my masters degree in Human Centered Interaction Design at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. I am an avid hemp and cannabis advocate and currently work in the cannabis production industry.

My history with hemp

Welcome to my journey exploring the world of hemp! My first encounter was with its sister plant, marijuana, but it wasn't until I volunteered at a hemp farm that I truly grasped the differences between the two. This hands-on experience allowed me to delve into hemp's properties, production, and harvest, as well as the regulations surrounding it. Since then, I've dedicated myself to researching hemp's diverse applications, particularly in textiles, and I'm excited to share my insights with you!

This Project

This project stems from my previous research project on hemp and hemp textiles in the United States. I want to be able to inform anyone who wants to learn real facts about hemp and the products it produces. Allowing individuals to make informed decisions on products and services they purchase is my main goal for this project.

Moving Forward

Once I graduate I plan to continue my career in the cannabis industry and advocate for the cannabis species. My goal is to eventually own and run my own cannabis company that provides in depth communication services for clear and transparent purchases.
